"A warm connection that doesn't want us to be separated?" I murmured, almost in a dazed state of mind as I moved my head an inch closer, my eyes focused on his smooth pink lips. He nodded, his eyes lowering to my lips.

"Xia. Can I touch you?" he asked softly, the request making me lose all hesitation my mind had.

He'd shown me the respect to ask if he could place his hands on me. It wasn't an entitlement he held because he was a man or above me.

Without any hesitation, I whispered, "Yes."

And I kissed him, letting my walls crumble.
